I suffered my third miscarriage in early January. It was really upsetting and the EPU staff were fantastic and cannot be faulted. They helped me as much as they could for my stage in pregnancy. My complaint stems from what has happened after. I was told that I would receive a referral to the miscarriage clinic fairly quickly. I was also told that ideally I wouldn't get pregnant before I saw a consultant as the recurrent miscarriage team wouldn't be able to help. That was over three months ago and I have not received any further information or a referral.
I am 34 so time isn't exactly on my side to just wait around for referrals that I so desperately need to be able to maintain my next (if I am lucky enough to conceive again) pregnancy. I have called the EPU approx twice a month to chase and I just get told I have a referral but no appointment. The stress caused from waiting on this appointment is really not helping trying to conceive and maintain our next baby.
