"Taking ill in Redhill"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

While visiting family I collapsed and an ambulance was called. Ambulance staff were very thorough and friendly. They needed to take me to A& E to be checked out. I was a bit concerned as have never collapsed or been taken to hospital before.

The hospital A & E was very clean absolutely gleaming, staff were lovely, and I was kept updated on what was happening, to me. I was there for about 4 hours and felt well looked after.

There was a lovely lady who made me tea and breakfast, and generally made sure that I was okay. She was kindness in itself, sorry I didn.t get any names. It was about 8:30 on Saturday.

I would like to say thank you to all involved as everyone I came into contact with made me feel cared for.

Dear Deee,

Thank you for your kind words about your recent visit to East Surrey Hospital. As the Director responsible for facilities and food (amongst other things!) I am particularly pleased with your comments about the cleanliness and food service. We have done a lot of work recently to improve our emergency department and I'm pleased that you were able to see and benefit from some of those improvements.

I will ensure your comments are passed on to the relevant staff.

Kind regards
