"Mental health services"

About: Limbrick centre/Wardsend road (north west Sheffield) Sheffield IAPT

(as a service user),

I have been continuously failed by secondary mental health services. I have complex mental health having had depression and GAD for half my life.   My GPS have done what they can as far as I am aware.

I am currently on 2 antidepressants both at high doses.   The surgery has referred me to IAPT, CMHT and St Georges each of which I feel have treated me appallingly.     Being repeatedly told by my IAPT I am 'too complex'.  Having one meeting with a person who was not able to diagnose and definitely not doing a proper assessment. Not being assigned a care coordinator or named person. A basic care planned then being moved on from CMHT. They then ignoring crisis calls.   Not returning calls. Being  very unprofessional.

Finally receiving CBT via iapt and  despite having ongoing suicidal ideation, self harm. Loosing time, increasing auditory disturbances just being dropped from any support.

Hi

I'm sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with the recent contact you've had with Sheffield mental health services. Without your name or you speaking to us directly it's very difficult to respond specifically to the experience you describe as we have no way of looking back through our records to see what may have gone wrong. If you want to speak to us then please either get in touch with a service directly (in the case of IAPT you can call me on 0114 22 64380); or speak to a member of our Corporate Affairs Team via our SHSC switch board 0114 271 6310.

Kind regards
