My Mother-in-law was taken into Acute Medicine bay 7 at the weekend. The nursing staff (especially Lorraine) were very good at seeing to her needs and ours at the end of her life. They made sure she was comfortable and treated her gently and personally. They looked after us all at this very difficult time, providing us with tea/coffee. Offering us blankets & pillows, as we had been with her all day and night.
They kept us up-dated with her condition and gave us options and advice about her care.
Nurse Lorraine was exceptional.
The only regret was that she was in a ward with other patients. It would have been easier if she had been in a side room & more than 2 people could have been with her at a time.
