Communication at this hospital is awful. At first they would not even tell me what was wrong with Dad. Then found out due to them not carrying out sufficient investigations he was on the wrong ward for almost a week, with the cause having not been addressed. It seemed like the Nurses and Doctors I saw did not know what each other were doing. They were quick to discharge too early with to many ongoing problems. Dad is no longer able to eat solids, but they discharged him with out informing me of how to manage his new diet and how to order it. Nothing about change of medication either. I rang up about it and the nursre I spoke to was surprised no one had spoken to me and said they would get the dietician to ring me. No one did. I spent 3 days in all trying to get this vital basic information.
Dad was discharged with bedsores and a moisture lesion.
On other occasions he has gone in because he was by passing his catheter and had an UTI they discharged him without changing catheter and in wet trousers.
"Poor communication all round"
