Response from Cossham Hospital

Dear Tina - I am sorry that your experience at Cossham Hospital earlier this month was so poor. Normal practice should always be to explain the procedure and the results where they are immediately known and I regret this did not happen.

Patient dignity is also a high priority for the Trust and it is inexcusable that you were not afforded privacy and respect from the staff. Please accept my apologies for this failure.

I would like to investigate the circumstances in detail in order to provide you with a full explanation of events and if possible to see if any action can be taken to rebuild your trust in the Hospital. I because the Trust takes any examples of poor patient service very seriously, I would also like to ensure that your experience is not repeated for other patients. To enable me to do so I would be grateful if you could provide further details including your name, and date of birth to

Once again please accept my apologies on behalf of North Bristol NHS Trust.

Kind regards - Steve Sykes
