What could be improved

the way i was treated nothing explained as to what was going to be done at what stage

Anything else?

iwas expected to undress and dress and clean myself up atfer an intimated examination in the same room as two members of staff with no curtain around the bed wasnt explained any thing even had to ask if that was it...was spoken to at all during the examination apart from asked to lower my bottom...they even stated to talk about the next patient before id even left the room...will not be continuing any further treatment wotsoever, it took alot of work from mt gp to get me there all to be undone within minutes,, thankyou cossham

Dear Tina - I am sorry that your experience at Cossham Hospital earlier this month was so poor. Normal practice should always be to explain the procedure and the results where they are immediately known and I regret this did not happen.

Patient dignity is also a high priority for the Trust and it is inexcusable that you were not afforded privacy and respect from the staff. Please accept my apologies for this failure.

I would like to investigate the circumstances in detail in order to provide you with a full explanation of events and if possible to see if any action can be taken to rebuild your trust in the Hospital. I because the Trust takes any examples of poor patient service very seriously, I would also like to ensure that your experience is not repeated for other patients. To enable me to do so I would be grateful if you could provide further details including your name, and date of birth to complaints@nbt.nhs.uk

Once again please accept my apologies on behalf of North Bristol NHS Trust.

Kind regards - Steve Sykes
