Upon feeling suicidal in the middle of the night and feeling that staying at home would put me at serious risk, I actually walked to the Peter Hodgkinson centre crisis team. I was ‘seen’ by someone through a gap in the window and told that they could do nothing to help me because i had been formally disharged from the crisis team that day. Although I explained to them that I didn't want to go to A&E as the noisy environment would have been too much for me.
Overall, after they offered to drop me home but me refusing due to needing excercise to try to curb some of my suicidal thoughts, the outcome was me walking back home with no sort of provision of care offered by a ‘crisis’ team. I was left feeling very neglected and unworthy of being kept safe. Not a nice experience to go through.
