What I liked
Staff on the ward were helpful and friendly, they gave the support and breastfeeding advice I needed as a first time mum.
What could be improved

The midwives could advocate more for the ladies they are caring for. Also it would be a a good idea to talk about pain relief options as patients arrive to the delivery site and for the midwives to offer analgesia on a regular basis.
Anything else?
I was left feeling traumatised following my sons delivery because I felt that the medical team didn't involve me in decisions made, I felt shocked and a complete loss of control.
