What I liked
i ve had all 3 of my children at the rvi. The first back in October 2007, the staff throughout on.all occasions were brilliant. Bearing in mind that the rvi is one of the busiest maternity units in the country, the staff coped really well. The midwives on all three occasions acted professionally throughout. The midwife on the birth of my first, induced me on the birth of my third, and remembered me. The aftercare on the wards was also good, with the midwife taking my little boy so I could get some sleep. I can honestly say that I could not find fault at all with the hospital or staff.
What could be improved
Nothing that springs to mind.
Anything else?
The only comment refers to the maternity assessment unit, whereby all ladies with issues or worries are in a cubicle curtained off section. This makes things a little difficult if you wish to discuss something of a sensitive nature with staff.
"excellent staff, caring, understanding..."
