What could be improved

Patient information concerning waiting times

Anything else?

I was waiting for almost four hours, sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room, in pain, with no idea as to how long I would be waiting. I had been told after three hours that I was next to be seen, yet an hour later I was still waiting. In the end I couldn't bear the pain of sitting on the uncomfortable seats and went home, unseen, untreated and still in pain.CommunicationOpening hours

Thank you for your comments. The Trust is very sorry that you have had such a negative experience. Waiting times do vary depending on the workload and should be discussed with the triage nurse who can offer a re assessment and guidance. The Matron apologises for your wait and will meet with the A&E team to remind all staff of the importance of communicating effectively with patients. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
