"Self referral to Ealing IAPT CBT"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

I self referred myself to the Ealing IAP team and my therapist was Tom. When I first started my therapy I was very depressed and had started noticing that I was becoming more and more anxious with the thoughts I was thinking.

Working with Tom has really helped me control my thoughts and my anxiety. The techniques we both worked on together have made a massive improvement. Although my therapy sessions have finished I am still on a daily basis breaking down my thoughts and reading more self development books. You must carry on using the techniques to live a happier lifestyle. 

I strongly recommend CBT for anybody struggling with anxiety or depression. I am much happier and much more productive. Thank you Tom and Ealing IAPT

A really helpful post and we are very grateful that you shared this. The team are always happy to get feedback from the work that they do and I sure Tom in particular, will be really interested to hear that you have kept up the good work.
Your post illustrates the point that when the sessions have ended its important to keep the work going and breaking down the thoughts is crucial in maintaining that massive improvement that you describe and which you must have worked so hard to achieve.

We couldn't be more pleased that the effort you put into the therapy has resulted in you feeling happier and more productive - long may this continue.
