"Red Clinic at Poole General Hospital"

About: NHS 111 Poole General Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Having developed a urinary infection I called 111 for advice as I was in a lot of pain. The girl who answered was lovely, she was very thorough and went through a lot of questions about my symptoms. I told her I had taken an antibiotic that was in the house, not specifically for a water infection. She was very kind about it and said that given the amount of pain I was in it was understandable. The 111 team then called me a short while later and asked me to go to the out of hours service at Poole hospital where they had made an appointment for me to be seen by a doctor.

The receptionist who took all my details at the out of hours service in the Red Clinic was lovely. I was then seen by Dr Nyman. He was absolutely charming, took a lot of time going through my symptoms and was really, really nice. I was worried about telling him about taking the antibiotic but he was very reassuring about it.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with you feedback. We are pleased to hear that the Doctor who spoke with you treated you with care and kindness and you felt reassured at the end of your consultation. We will ensure that the staff within the clinic are advised of your kind comments. This out of hours clinic takes place here at Poole hospital but is administrated by the South West Ambulance Service Team and we will also share your feedback with them. We wish you a speedy recovery. Kind regards Maria Bennett, Patient Experience Facilitator
