Care Opinion is delighted to share that South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership (SLUHSCP) has reached an incredible milestone of over 1,000 stories shared on Care Opinion!

This number reflects tireless dedicationcommitment and compassion shown by the staff and services across the Partnership every single day.

Image titleCare Opinion offers the opportunity for people to share honest feedback about their experiences with health and social care services, with each story providing a valuable insight into the experience had. To have more than 1,000 stories shared about SLHSCP is a huge achievement- and just goes to show that they are really making the most of Care Opinion within their service areas.

Behind every story, whether one of praise, a suggestion, or a concern, lies an individual who took the time to reflect and engage. Behind every response is a team member who listened, responded thoughtfully, and made changes where needed. This milestone is a shared achievement by staff across all services: from justice services to treatment rooms, social work to occupational therapy, every service area continues to play a vital role in delivering person-centred care.

Take a look at some of the amazing feedback received by teams across SLUHSCP:

Professor Soumen Sengupta, Chief Officer for SLUHSCP said:

“South Lanarkshire University HSCP recognises the importance of lived experiences to shaping our services today and going forward, to help us make best use of the resources available to us to best meet the extensive and varying needs of our local communities. My thanks then to all of our staff who continue to be committed to delivering for local people, and to our communities for their continued feedback and support”.

As Engagement & Support Officer working with SLUHSCP, I am thrilled to work with such an actively engaged and focused team who are truly dedicated to encouraging feedback from all service areas across the Partnership. The team behind the subscription are such a privilege to work with, with their ideas and inspiration for success never lacking. Thank you for all your great work!

In celebrating a great team and great work, here’s what our CEO, Fraser Gilmore had to say:

"Reaching over 1,000 stories is an incredible achievement, not just in numbers, but in meaning. Every story shared through Care Opinion reflects someone's lived experience, and every thoughtful response shows a commitment to truly listening and learning. What South Lanarkshire University HSCP has achieved is a powerful example of what compassionate, person-centered care looks like in action. I'm so proud that Care Opinion can play a part in supporting this ongoing journey of openness, reflection and improvement."

Not only are stories welcomed, but they are also embraced as essential tools for improvement. You can read more about this in SLUHSCP'S blog titled, 'The Power of Lived Experiences in Justice Social Work Services' here.

Image titleBehind South Lanarkshire's successes with Care Opinion sits a wealth of dedicated staff, encouraging feedback and promoting the values of Care Opinion. Overseeing the subscription and its members sits operational lead, Giuliana Gustinelli, Performance and Systems Development Assistant, who oversees all things Care Opinion in SLUHSCP.

Giuliana's work in integrating Care Opinion into Health and Social Care services across South Lanarkshire is completely invaluable, with her dedication, vision and commitment so important. Here's what she had to say on this achievement:

“Reaching 1,000 stories is a significant achievement—demonstrating the trust our communities place in us and our commitment to listening and learning. Each story reflects the high-quality, person-centred care our teams strive to deliver every day. This milestone is an inspiring example of the South Lanarkshire University Health & Social Care Partnership's practice in action: working together to improve health and wellbeing in the community—with the community”

Looking ahead, the insights and voices of service users will continue to be central as SLUHSCP evolves, adapts and strives to improve further. Here’s to the next 1,000 stories- and to a future where listening and learning continues to shape the very best in health and social care.
