About: Gartnavel General Hospital / Breast Clinic Gartnavel General Hospital / General Surgery (ward 4a) Gartnavel General Hospital / Theatres, Recovery and Anaesthetics

(as the patient),

I had breast cancer surgery at this wonderful hospital yesterday. I can't praise the entire surgical team enough. Everyone was so friendly and caring, from the nurses at the Surgical Admissions Unit, the medical physicist, Callum in the pre-op waiting area, Soji the anaesthetics nurse, the anaesthetist , Lynne  and Mr. Wilson, then the nurses and student nurse in Ward 4a were all fantastic. There were also  lovely nurses in post-op recovery....I'm sorry I don't know all their names, but they did a great job too. Prior to my surgery I encountered nothing but friendly professionalism from radiographers, radiologists and nurses too. This hospital is a gold standard that should be copied by all hospitals in my opinion! A huge 'Thank You' to you all!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback in regard to your experience of attending the Breast Clinic and General Surgery Department of Gartnavel General Hospital.

I was sorry to hear you had to attend the hospital for breast cancer surgery. I can only begin to imagine the worry and anxiety you must have been feeling prior to your surgery.

It was however wonderful to hear how all the staff took good care of you and made you feel comfortable and welcome.

I will be sure to pass on your thanks to all the staff mentioned who I'm sure will be touched to read such lovely comments.

I hope you're feeling a lot better after your surgery.
