About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I was booked for an induction on the Induction unit at the City Hospital.

The midwives did a routine scan and found baby was breech. 

Soon after, the consultant, Dr Marley, came to see me and within just a few hours, she delivered our baby girl.

I can’t thank the team enough. 

Dr Marley was fantastic, she explained all the options to me and involved me in all the decision making, and throughout the delivery she kept me informed about all that was going on. She was so professional, knowledgeable, proactive and efficient and went out of her way to get the delivery done that afternoon.

We are so grateful and forever indebted to her for bringing our baby girl safety in to the world,  despite the delivery being complicated by fibroids.

The midwifery team on the unit and theatre staff were also all very caring and kind and made us feel very comfortable and safe. 

I apologise for taking so long to thank you all.

Hello there and thank you for your amazing feedback, it sounds like your daughter had a very swift entrance into the world!! We are so glad you are both safe and well. Hearing a story like this makes it reassuring for others who may find themselves in this often scary situation and gives them comfort that they will be so well cared for.
