"Discharged with absolutely no explanation"

About: Shawpark Resource Centre

(as the patient),

I visited in August for an assessment. Made repeated visits to find out what was happening but was first told the individual I was meant to see was on holiday, off sick and finally had left entirely.

Visited 3 more times in October only to discover I had been discharged with absolutely no explanation at the end of September.

I have been trying to get help since 2021 when ref for Trauma Therapy; and in April 2022 for Psychiatric Assessment. But in 16 months nothing.

Is this how they treat individuals with mental health issues?

Sorry but absolutely disgusted and I won't hold my breath waiting for a response.

Dear Ying

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion. I am sorry to hear about your experiences and that you have been left feeling disgusted and let down. As Care Opinion is anonymous, we are unable to explain why you have discharged, therefore, I would be grateful if you could contact Shawpark Resource Centre on 0141 451 2730 and ask to speak to the Nurse Team Leader or Service Manager. They will be happy to discuss this with you.

Kind Regards

Nicole

Update posted by Ying (the patient)

A complaint has been initiated and I would prefer a written response not a phone chat.
