"Lack of information"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a relative),

My husband has been suffering for increasing nosebleeds for almost 2 years and has been referred to ENT at Crosshouse Hospital for further investigations. He is concerned that his nose has even been bleeding while he is asleep and then has to be woken up to prevent the risk of aspirating in his sleep.

His referral was made back in late 2021 but has still not had any communication from ENT. He called recently to ask about how much longer he might need to wait, but was told they cannot commit to any timescale.

What about the 12 week Scottish Government timeline? It’s not acceptable to just leave people hanging and be unable (or unwilling) to give any indication of when they might be seen!

I’m assuming from the lack of reply that ENT don’t bother communicating to complaints either?
