"Referral to colo rectal/ endoscopy"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP after an episode of rectal bleeding and the GP thinking he could feel something in my bottom.

Within 2 weeks I was triaged by a specialist nurse and offered an appointment for the flexi camera procedure the following day.

On arrival at the unit, I was greeted by the receptionist and taken through for admissions paperwork by a senior nurse who was friendly and attentive.

I was administered an enema and collected 15 mins later by a nurse for the procedure. She was lovely and really reassured me throughout the procedure. The person doing the procedure kept me informed throughout and was so reassuring.

I was given the outcome immediately and was taken to get changed and given feedback by another nurse who was also lovely.

Excellent service and care. So lucky to have our wonderful NHS and the outstanding care they provide. Thankyou
