"Very helpful g.p"

About: General practices in Forth Valley

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had been losing weight for the past year resulting in her becoming very unwell at new year then again in the summer. No one really taking me up in my concerns. I feel that there should be easier links to social care. I recently took my daughter to the gp about another health concern, and the g.p took the time and was very sensitive in talking to her. Concerns were raised by the g.p and sought advice. Having many phone calls with the g.p,  my daughter has now been referred to CAMHS and will hopefully get the help that she needs.

I felt relieved and happy in how the g.p approached the subject and tried to support my daughter and myself.

Good Morning mayee86

Thank you for taking the time to write and your share your family's experience with your GP Practice and I am pleased to read that your daughter has now been referred to CAMHS for the support she requires going forward.

It will have been an upsetting time for you and I hope you are now re-assured by the steps taken by the GP to ensure your daughter's health and well-being is looked after.

I wish you and your family well.

Kind regards

Caroline
