Had a niggle in my knee. Don't know what caused it. After sports activity it was worse; more than a niggle. Thought I should get it checked out as I am active and play sport.

Went to Ards MIU. Didn't realise you had to phone first. After several attempts I eventually got through on phone and received an appointment for later that afternoon. Had a thorough examination of my knee by Katherine who was very pleasant and helpful. Got x-ray and advice for self referral to Physiotherapy. I am thankful for this all round great service.

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback for our service. Our expert team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners always strive to carry out a thorough assessment and deliver an appropriate treatment plan for each individual.

The Phone First Service at Ards MIU has been implemented from March 2020. We are actively looking at ways to raise awareness in the local community regarding access to this service. You will also be glad to hear we have introduced a new telephone contact system this week which should improve quicker access for service users.

Thanks for your prompt response and great to hear about the new telephone system which hopefully negates users needing to keep redialling until someone is available to answer.
