I have been suffering with shortage of breath, dizziness, tiredness sleep problems and cramps in my lower legs. I contacted the surgery and was sent on a journey to xray, lung tests and other tests. Until a consultant at QA said that the indications are that my heart was the area he thought responsible. I was given an ECG at the surgery and then nothing! I had occasion to call 111 as I was in distress one evening spoke to a locum who indicated that he would contact my surgery! I have heard nothing for weeks so rang and asked for an appointment. I was given one but when I attended it was with a HCA and while she was most pleasant she was unable to do anything other than take my blood pressure and some blood samples! She suggested that I take this route to see if I can get to see a doctor. I do realise that we are under a lot of pressure but it seems that I am being assessed the same as before because I have just received an appointment for QA to take a lung function test - again?? I thought it had been determined by the QA Respiratory Dept, that it was not the lungs that were responsible for my present situation? Can I ask respectfully, for an appointment with a medically qualified professional to speak with me so that I can move forward in some way? Thank you!
"disappointing"
