I am being treated for Myelofibrosis and have been since January 2020, receiving excellent care from Dr Levison-Keating. Then in 2021 I was put on a different oral chemotherapy as part of a drugs trial under Dr Levison-Keating and Nurse Archer and their excellent staff.
Then on the 15th of September this year I was taken ill suddenly while working in the garden. All I wanted to do was go to bed, which would have been the end of me. Instead, at the behest of my wife, I rang the research department, who told me to come to A&E as soon as I could.
On arrival I was immediately placed on a drip. It was the prompt action by all concerned that saved my life, for which I am eternally grateful. They would have kept me in overnight, but no beds were available so I was stabilised and sent home.
Thence to the 21st. I developed a very sore mouth which meant I couldn't eat or drink for several days as well as being very confused. A call to the research dept and Nurse Archer resulted in my being admitted to the Bostonian Ward, where I received superb care from ALL staff untill I was examined by the excellent Prof. Rinaldi and members of his staff and discharged.
So I can't speak highly enough of everyone with whom I came into contact, with some being responsible for saving my life!!!!
