"Teeth removal"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I had 2 teeth out today, one of which was a wisdom tooth, under a local anaesthetic. I cannot recommend or thank the team ( Alex, Julie and Sarah) enough for the treatment I received today.

I was incredibly nervous about having my wisdom teeth out, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable throughout the procedure, checking in on me constantly and whilst making sure we had a laugh too!

I felt absolutely no pain, Alex did a fabulous job even though the tooth itself was a little awkward. I'm very grateful to them all!

Dear Oceanjem92,

Thankyou so much for your kind feedback.

We are pleased to hear you were helped to feel comfortable and happy throughout having 2 of your teeth out. We understand patients can be nervous to come and visit us, especially if having a tooth extraction so we try hard to help patients feel at ease.

These procedures usually go smoothly but teeth can sometimes throw a curve ball and challenge our highly skilled surgeons but they have lots of tricks up their sleeve to get those pesky teeth out, still whilst being a painless procedure for you.

I hope the rest of your recovery goes well.

Best wishes
