"Podiatry Clinic"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Podiatry

(as a service user),

I ripped my toe-nail on the side of my kitchen door and it was bleeding and very sore over a few days. I made a self-referral to the podiatry clinic at NHS GGC Health Board in September and was allocated an appointment two days later with a telephone clinic podiatrist! I was pleasantly very surprised by how soon as I was offered an appointment and it was much more convenient having a telephone appointment. It turned out I needed no treatment and was given telephone advice on how to care for my toe-nail at home and although it will take several months to grow back, I am no longer limping or bleeding or in pain and back to normal now.

Thank you to NHS GGC Health Board for assessing my needs so quickly!

Dear GordonE1234

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of attending a telephone consultation with the Podiatry Clinic of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

I was delighted to hear you were offered an appointment within two days of your self referral and found this much more convenient than having to attend the hospital to have this looked at.

I was glad to hear you didn't require any treatment for this and was provided with advice on how to care for your toenail at home by the clinic podiatrist.

I will be sure to pass on your thanks to the staff involved who I'm sure will be happy to hear you are no longer in pain and feeling back to your normal self.

Kind regards

Kevin
