I am mortified because there was no privacy at all for admission and discussion with the anaesthetist and surgeon, who was a junior because the surgeon supposed to be doing the actual surgery wasn't available.
I feel the surgeon failed to carry out procedure prescribed by two other consultants because they second-guessed them. I was given a general anaesthetic that I really didn't want and that I believe was wholly unnecessary.
In pre-op, the surgeon would not let me answer questions and spoke over me. The people who said they were looking after me were nowhere to be found after I came 'round.
I do not feel cared for by Leeds NHS Trust, and I'm concerned I may have many more years of pain and discomfort.
