"Prompt, highly efficient service by caring, professional staff."

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / GP Out of Hours Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Gynaecology NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as the patient),

After having a Bartholin's cyst for a few years it decided to become infected. After a week of antibiotics it worsened over the weekend. I contacted 111 and was referred to Out of Hours in Forth Valley Royal Hospital. They then referred me to gynae where it was drained and I was pain free. The nurse even held my hand through it as I was such a wuss.

Also received a phone call a few days post by a ward 6 doctor after positive cultures to ensure I was taking antibiotics. I was treated within 3 hours in total from initial phone call and back home to put my feet up. Prompt, highly efficient service by caring, professional staff.
