I have been in Craigavon Area Hospital for almost 2 weeks.
Initially, I was located in a corridor for 2 days then was moved to ward 1 south. Now post-op I am in 4 north.
I had my colon removed which was obviously a major operation but thankfully everything went successfully. I have been lucky to have never been in hospital, so was apprehensive of the care, but my experience has totally proven otherwise.
The care that the staff have provided from the get go has been fantastic. You definitely aren't just a number but you are a patient and they are so personal and caring.
Having these lovely staff around you, makes the experience that bit easier. The food fills a hole and the hygiene of the ward is first-class. The doctors are hopeful that I will get home tomorrow or Tuesday!!
"Personal and caring."
