Yesterday at around 5pm I called 999 as my neighbour was in need of immediate assistance. He was found on the floor of his bedroom unable to move.
My 999 contact was with a calm, level-headed lady who patiently gathered information from me. She recognized the urgency and called out the paramedics. They arrived within 10 to 15 minutes and treated my 96 year old neighbour with patience, experience, respect and humour.
I just wanted you to know that your good work does not go unnoticed. The obvious dedication of all concerned was heart-warming. Thank you all for the wonderful work you do.
Unfortunately my neighbour died a few hours later, but it is good to know that his last hours, without his family, were spent with such caring people.
My very best wishes to you all.
"I just wanted to say thank you!"
