This used to be a great surgery with polite receptionists and caring doctors, a great all round service and i never had any complaints. Now its almost impossible to get a call from a doctor let alone get a face to face appointment! I am a full employed tax paying British born citizen yet i find myself having to pay for private care because i can't see a GP to which i am entitled, not only for travel vaccinations (which they used to do but now don't) which are available on the NHS but also to get regular medication and specialist treatment i need in a timely manner ! Surely covid cannot continue to be blamed for services not being resumed and proper care being available? I have sought to change doctors but sadly this level of service seems to be the norm throughout all Mansfield doctors so off i go to pay for private care, absolutely shameful!

Dear Patient,

We apologise sincerely for the experience you have had recently in getting an appointment as well as our travel vaccination service. We do aim to meet our patients' expectations but unfortunately this is not always possible and we are sorry we fell short on the occasions you tried.

As an alternative way of communication you may wish to try our 'contact us' page in future which is on our website www.orchard-medical.co.uk this is a messaging service you send to the practice in a secure way for non-urgent medical issues, we aim to give you a call back within 5-6 working days trying our best to time the call when it is convenient to you.

With regard to travel we re-started our NHS travel vaccinations in July, there are details and a form on our website, we would need no less than 6 weeks notice. If any further private vaccines are required we can direct you further.

We hope these options may be of help to you in the future, if you wish to speak to the Practice Manager, Rebecca Tate further please do not hesitate to contact the practice. Again we apologise for recent experience.
