About: Dr Gray's Hospital / GMED NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

I really appreciated the time spent with a Doctor on a call regarding my daughter and an infected sore. Advice was great and really reassured us. This is not the first time we have used NHS 24 and each time the help has been excellent from the staff involved. A previous instance saw my husband get admitted to hospital following a call to 111 for nearly 2 weeks where he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder.

Dear Thankful111

Thank you so much for the positive feedback on your experience of calling 111. I hope your daughter is doing much better. It sounds as though the Doctor did a great job in reassuring you both. I see the Care Opinion team have kindly tagged NHS Grampian/GMED to your story which means that they can see your kind comments.

I note you have called 111 previously for your husband also which resulted in onward care being arranged.

Here at NHS 24, patient safety and a positive patient/caller experience are out top priorities. It's great to see your positive comments. Should you wish to share any further detail on your actual calls to 111, then I would be pleased to hear from you. You can call me on 07814 299944 or email Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk. With some additional detail, I could share your story with the staff who managed the calls to the service.

In the meantime, I wish you all well.

Thanks again for getting in touch.

Kind regards

Shona
