(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

I came into accident and emergency with my son, it was okay. We were triaged very quick and just waited for results to be told that we were going to be admitted.

The staff were very friendly down there and they keep you informed on updates with the results.

Daisy ward has been excellent, my son has settled well, especially with all the colouring books and painting the nurses are bringing into him. The place is so modern and I love the way the rooms are private and we have an en-suite. The bed for the parent is a bit uncomfortable since it’s a chair leaned back, hope we are not here for long or my back will be very sore.

The staff are so nice and really good with my son. They must love their jobs and their attitudes toward it are outstanding, we could not ask for a better care team.

Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to share your experience with us. I am delighted to hear that the staff helped you and your son feel comfortable during your stay and it is important to us to provide child-friendly activities to our patients.

I am sorry the chair wasn't as comfortable as expected for you. We encourage parents to stay and therefore provide recliner chairs to assist overnight stays. I trust that you received appropriate bedding and your stay with us was short.

I truly hope your son has made a full recovery and the team will be delighted to hear what a difference they made to yours and your son's experience.
