"The staff immediately put me at ease"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

The staff were amazing at the clinic. I had been very worried about going to the clinic, and about getting any difficult news. I was also concerned about  the scans they were going to do.

The staff immediately put me at ease. Dr Bhat, the consultant, took time to take my history, and explained all the procedures before getting my OK to go ahead.

The nurses introduced themselves and took time to ensure I was comfortable to go ahead. The doctor and/or nurses told me before each test what they were going to do and asked me at each stage if I was OK, and did I want to continue.

They checked my pain levels to make sure I was always good. After the examinations/scans they again made sure I was safe and well to leave. They were professional, kind and thoughtful at all stages of the visit.

I felt well looked after by the professional staff, the news of my available results was delivered with care and concern.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get in touch about your recent experience with Gynaecology at University Hospital Wishaw.

It is a great encouragement for staff to be recognised for their care and professionalism. Pleased to hear the team put you at ease, and you felt infirmed and cared for.
