"My care was excellent"

About: The James Cook University Hospital

Anything else?

My experience in the surgical assessment unit, theatres and ward 35 was excellent: my paper work in SAU was done meticulously, professionally and by friendly staff, while maintaining my dignity and recognising my being nervous. The care on ward 35 was near perfect with all my stats being done on time, all staff washing their hands and being highly professional, friendly and caring. Nothing was too much trouble for the nursing and medical staff.

Thank you for your comments regarding your experience during your stay on the Surgical Assessment Unit and Ward 35 at The James Cook University Hospital. I am pleased to learn the care and treatment you received was of a high standard and I shall forward your kind words to the members of staff within the Division of Surgery, who I am sure will be very pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives. Please contact the chairman’s office on 01642 854151 or email deborah.jenkins@stees.nhs.uk I hope you are recovering well With best wishes Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Co-ordinator
