"The nurses are so dedicated"

About: Victoria Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a service user),

My husband had a successful kidney transplant from his brother in December 2021.

In June 2022 he had a severe throat infection which ent had to operate on and he ended up in ICU for 5/6 days. The icu is amazing the nurses with 1 to 1 care, all the Dr's who always made time to talk to me. The nurses are so dedicated to care of they're patients.  I can't thank them enough for the treatment we received, under valued and under paid they deserve a massive pay rise clapping wasn't enough.

Dear Mabels mum

Lovely to hear from you, thank you for the amazing feedback, we really do appreciate it. What a worrying time it must have been for you all, it is good to see that the team supported everyone so well. We pride ourselves on delivering care that is safe, effective and person centred - we are dedicated, it's nice to note that this was your experience. I will make sure your lovely feedback is passed onto the team. I do hope your brother is keeping well after his most recent hospital stay with us, wishing him and you all the very best.

Take care

Jamie Doyle, Intensive Care Unit, Victoria Hospital.
