"Did nothing to relieve stress"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow

(as a relative),

Told that blood results would take approx 2hrs however sat at the reception desk for 1hour 30mins.

Staff on reception did nothing to relieve stress and unwilling to provide updates when specifically asked if the bloods had been sent for checking. They said they did not know, however it was clear to see the bag of samples on the desk at the side.

Appreciate the department is busy however some reassurance and empathy would ease stress.
