About: CGL Birmingham

(as a service user),

I want to share my experience with CGL.

I was in such a bad place, didn't know where to go or what to do. The CGL was with me. My worker Michelle and my previous worker Phil, they got me.

Michelle never judged me, understood me. My life is back now and I feel fantastic. Alcohol free at last :)

I am free, focused and positive.

Thank You CGL

Dear empathyns85

Thank you for getting in touch with us about the support you have received from our service.

My name is Lydia and I am one of the people who listens and responds to people's feedback.

I'm sorry to hear about the time when you wasn't sure what to do or who to turn to for support. It must have felt like a very lonely and scary time in your life. I am so glad that you were able to find our support and get the help you needed to show you there is a way out.

It's so lovely to learn about how you experienced Phil and Michelle's support. It's so important that people feel understood and heard by their key workers, and it sounds like Phil and Michelle did just that. I will make sure that Phil and Michelle get to read your kind words and that their managers get to hear about what you have shared too.

It's great to hear that you have your life back and that you're feeling fantastic. I understand becoming alcohol free takes a lot of grit and determination and so I hope you feel extremely proud of everything you have achieved through your hard work.

Stay focussed! Stay positive!

But just as importantly, enjoy every moment of your newly found freedom from alcohol.

Best wishes for your future and thank you again for reaching out to us,

Lydia
