Following a bad fall and a wrenched ankle and foot I attended NDDH A&E the following morning, a Saturday. It was really busy and I was advised it would be a 4-5 hours wait but I thought that reasonable considering the stresses the NHS is under.
I was triaged by a lovely nurse within the hour and seen by a doctor about 3 hours later. Then to X-ray, a fracture seen and a moon boot fitted I was discharged to be followed up in Fracture Clinic on the Tuesday. It did take about 5 hours but I have no complaints about that.
An excellent service from friendly, caring and professional staff from the receptionist onwards I was well looked after. How they do this with the pressures they are under is amazing. Thank you to all.
"An excellent service from friendly staff"
