Just returned home from a 5 week stay in the Acute Stroke Unit at Cross house Hospital ward 3e. All too often, the NHS are lambasted about many things and people are slow to give praise to the staff who deserve it. To put the record straight, during a long 5 weeks in this Unit, I received the very best of care and attention from all of the staff involved. Although very busy and understaffed they always took the time to address individual patient needs in a timely and courteous manner, I cannot praise them highly enough.
Due to daily staff changes, I met many nursing professionals during my stay, too many to name individuallly, but every one a credit to their profession.
However, during any interaction with a number of people, there are always 1 or 2 who stand out as being exceptional in their approach to their duties and I take this opportunity to name them.
Staff nurse Corrie
Staff nurse Emma
Nurse Julie
Nurse Chenise
All from rooms 222 and 223 Ward 3e Acute Stroke Unit Crosshouse Hospital Ayrshire and Arran
I applaud these truly professional people and will be forever grateful for the best care and attention I have ever received
From a grumpy old man
"I cannot praise them highly enough"
