"Distance to required services"

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience and apologies for the delay in response to this. Your communication was directed to General Practice and not to myself.

The clinic you attended was Perth City Care and Treatment Service,based at Beechgrove House. This is an evolving service set up in response to the 2018 General Medical Service contract in Scotland. This service now delivers many elements of healthcare traditionally undertaken by GP Practices.( blood tests included ).

Beechgrove is a temporary location for Community Care and Treatment Service, but it provided the space we required in order to expand our service as required to fulfill our contract obligations.

Whilst the location is not ideal for all, the regular bus service does stop directly outside Beechgrove.There is also a local Royal Voluntary Service car which is bookable for appointments. There is a charge for this, but it is less than a taxi

I am very sorry that you feel the distance you require to travel to get here is too great, and the only alternative I think is to have a discussion with your GP Practice and enquire if they could continue to accommodate you there. That decision is entirely up to the individual Practice and out with our control, but please be assured that any care delivered here at Beechgrove is provided by professional, competent and friendly staff.
