My elderly father had a few falls over a period of a couple of months and was referred to the Falls clinic. In Early March 2022 he was visited at home by a physiotherapist who assessed him in mobility and balance, etc. She provided a few exercises to be done daily with a view of preventing further falls and advised that a colleague would be visiting weekly to monitor his progress. Subsequently, along came Karen.
Whilst dad was very anti about doing the exercises and how these could possibly prevent falls, Karen wasn’t having any nonsense. She was very firm with dad and said you will probably hate me now but you’ll grow to love me later. So true. Karen was amazing with dad, coaxing and giving encouragement and after a couple of visits, plenty of banter.
Karen had a lot of patience with dad and invested a great deal of time, and although progress was slow at times as dad wouldn’t always feel like doing the exercises between visits, he improved tremendously.
We can’t thank Karen enough. She was very professional, always jolly and knew how to get result.
