"Very professional, always jolly, and knew how to get result."

About: Bromley Healthcare / Falls and fracture prevention service

(as a relative),

My elderly father had a few falls over a period of a couple of months and was referred to the Falls clinic. In Early March 2022 he was visited at home by a physiotherapist who assessed him in mobility and balance, etc. She provided a few exercises to be done daily with a view of preventing further falls and advised that a colleague would be visiting weekly to monitor his progress. Subsequently, along came Karen.

Whilst dad was very anti about doing the exercises and how these could possibly prevent falls, Karen wasn’t having any nonsense. She was very firm with dad and said you will probably hate me now but you’ll grow to love me later. So true. Karen was amazing with dad, coaxing and giving encouragement and after a couple of visits, plenty of banter.

Karen had a lot of patience with dad and invested a great deal of time, and although progress was slow at times as dad wouldn’t always feel like doing the exercises between visits, he improved tremendously.

We can’t thank Karen enough. She was very professional, always jolly and knew how to get result.

Dear januarySW55,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback of your father's positive experience of the Falls Prevention Service.

I am so pleased to hear that Karen was able to help your father with his exercises despite his reluctance!, and I hope he is recovering well following his falls.

I will forward your comments on to Karen, who I am sure will appreciate your kind words.

Best wishes, Sharon
