I was sent by my GP with infected leg ulcers to Richmond Ward:
It was like "winning the lottery jackpot": the staff were so attentive, communicative, knowledgeable, full of empathy, experienced and professional that I felt as if I was in a different universe and also in a private hospital- but no- this was a FREE NHS hospital !!!
I was particularly grateful to a nurse practitioner called Dominic who marginalised a lot of dead skin in and around my leg ulcers and who told me in detail of my future regime of firstly antibiotics and one twice-daily application of creams, changing to later creams, and it all became understandable and very clear.
All the staff there were very jolly and it seemed like a very happy workplace.
