"Happy with everything"

About: Lurgan Hospital / Ward 1 (Stroke care) Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Patient care services

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came to Lurgan hospital last Saturday night by ambulance, I was waiting on an ambulance for about 9-10 hours as I was coming from Daisy Hill in Newry. The nurses are dead on. The food is very good and my room is very very clean. No changes at all I could suggest as I am happy at the moment.

Dear Niamhh1

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I would like to apologize for the delay in your transfer from Daisy Hill to Lurgan Hospital. I can assure you that we are working closely with the Department of Health and the Strategic Planning and Performance Group to increase our available resources. We are also working closely with local EDs to try to ensure that our patients can be handed over to hospital clinical teams as quickly as possible so that ambulances are able to respond to patients. I am reassured to hear about your positive experiences on the ward and wish you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Neil
