"Fractured Wrist"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Trauma and Orthopaedics

(as a service user),

Slipped and fell. Severely fractured my left wrist which meant an operation for carpel tunnel and a plate. Everyone was amazing from the nurses making sure you were okay. The orthopaedics team explained what would happen.

I couldn't have the usual pain relief so the anaesthetist came to check after the op that I wasn't in too much pain. I got overnight care from nurses making sure I was comfortable.
