From the very start of my pregnancy I had a wonderful midwife Jen and she was there the whole way through the 9 months. I did have a couple antenatal appointments at the hospital the midwives and doctors couldn't be more helpful and caring towards myself and baby's wellbeing.
My birth experience was everything I hoped it would be. I had a long labour but apart from that the support and nature of the midwives was amazing and more. Everything I had in my plan was discussed and met, I was always fully informed and was allowed to make my own decisions with support. I was lucky the pool room was available and I got to be in the water when I gave birth to my son.
The aftercare I had on the ward was beyond what I could have expected, every single midwife helped me in their own way and supported me on my journey to breastfeeding all of them are so friendly. My experience has been so lovely and memorable and I won't ever forget it. Thanks to all the midwives and team at the BGH labour ward and ward 16 you are all doing an incredible job.
"A lovely pregnancy and birth experience"
