"Waiting"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services

(as the patient),

I was seen by a professor (who is lovely by the way) in November 2019 when it was decided I need surgery. It was supposed to be within 12 weeks but this never happened. The COVID hit. During this time my symptoms got worse so I was seen by him again around October 2021. He upgraded me to a cat 2. We are now in August 2022 and heard absolutely nothing. Several emails to his secretary are unanswered. Just seems I don't matter

Thank you for posting your feedback. Unfortunately currently we are still having to prioritise urgent and cancer procedures with the theatre capacity that we have, which means that all other procedures are having unprecedented waits and we can only apologise for this.

I would be keen to look further into your details as the Secretary should have come back to you to keep you updated of the current situation. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us on 01224 554904.
