"Efficiently checked in and reassured"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

Arrived earlier than needed.  Efficiently checked in and reassured by Dawn at Boston Pilgrim hospital.  Waited in a small room by the procedure room once Canulated by Carol, and waited.  Very anxious and worried as I could hear a Patient screaming in pain.  Nice nurse reassured me everyone’s pain threshold is different.  Procedure was uncomfortable for me but two lovely nurses Ruby and Renee (I think) were there a the time which in my opinion is vital.  Recovery room lady Gayle had a cup of tea waiting and ginger biscuits which was like heaven.

Overall a positive experience despite the intrusive procedure - thank you.

Dear browserqs69

Many thanks for taking the time to let us know about your experience at one of our Endoscopy units. I will certainly pass on your comments to the team – I am pleased to hear that despite the invasive procedure the team were able to support you so that you could complete the procedure. I am sure the tea and biscuits were welcome

Best wishes

Matron Cathy
