I have been a Patient for over 30 years, and seen a lot of changes over the years, always been impressed by the helpfulness of the GP's have seen. Being able to see or speak to the same GP is essential to some people - especially my son & daughter who are autistic and do not communicate well with people they are not familiar with.
I know things have been difficult and I welcomed the new triage service, and online forms, it made my life easier as I hate using the telephone, so for me being able to contact the GP with my problems was brilliant.
But now I find I am unable to to book a Blood test, or request any appointment, no matter what time of day. I have to get my BP readings to the diabetic nurse and I can't seem to do this. I thought my life would be simpler, but alas no. It seems to be a struggle and don't see the point anymore of trying to look after myself if the system is not working as well as it was.
