About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I went into Treliske Hospital for a dermatology appointment. I was referred for a biopsy on the same day and it was a very well organised unit. It was also very useful to have the biopsy the same day rather than return at a future date to have it done.

I am glad that you found our unit well organised, we do aim to do biopsies on the same day as it helps to gain all the information we need for a diagnosis as quickly as possible and is less disruptive to our patients. I wish you all the best for the results of the biopsy and any follow up that may be required.
